“As a writer, I care a lot about language and I try to maximize it to tell a compelling story and inspire action. I find it extremely rewarding to help people understand their employee benefits and, more importantly, the impact that their current choices have on their future.”
Stacey discovered a love for the written word in her early teens and it’s seen her through many professions, including successful stints in newspaper journalism, marketing, and internal communications. Among her previous employers are the Boston Department of Health and Hospitals, the Massachusetts Hospital Association, the Jewish Federation and Foundation of the East Bay, and Chevron. Most recently, she helped develop employee benefits communications, as well as customer-facing communications, at Wells Fargo.
As our Marketing Writer, Stacey creates compelling, informative, and persuasive content for both our clients and our internal marketing initiatives. She is known for her attention to detail, her knack for making all topics engaging, and her ability to tailor messages to any audience. She takes pride in selecting just the right words and considers it a personal principle to never take a writing shortcut for the sake of convenience or character count.
A native of California’s San Fernando Valley, Stacey hightailed it to the East Coast before being a Valley Girl became cool. She lived in the Boston area for more than 20 years before moving to the Bay Area 16 years ago.
A self-described homebody, Stacey takes pleasure in the simple things in life, such as catching up with friends, tuning in to her favorite TV shows, curling up with a good book, knitting, and cooking. Though some might call her a “foodie,” she prefers to think of herself as “someone with good taste in food, who can cook and bake.”
She’s the proud owner of two white, fluffy dogs and the loving mother of a teenage daughter, whom she describes as both “the reason I get up in the morning” and “the reason I lose sleep at night.”
