Pedro Morales
Senior Writer
“I love making a difference through the written word. With anything I write, I put myself in the shoes of my readers and ask, “why is this important?” and “who cares?” I know that if just one person can learn something new through what I’ve written, I’ve done my job well.”
Dissecting legal jargon. Finding the nugget of critical information in a pile of bureaucratic paperwork. Quickly distilling even the most complex subjects. Finding the people side of every story. These are just a few of the skills Pedro Morales perfected in his 10 years working as an award-winning newspaper journalist and bi-lingual writer in California, Nevada and Florida.
Now, as a senior writer at Benz, he uses those skills to help people navigate the complexities of benefits and health care. And, to help companies keep in touch with both English- and Spanish-speaking employees and their families.
“Knowing that what I write helps people make choices that are important to their lives motivates and excites me every day,” he said.
A puzzle of contradictions, you’re equally likely to find Pedro on a hike or immersed in short fiction stories. He’s a fitness and nutrition buff who inexplicably doesn’t eat green vegetables. You can bet we’re doing our best to change that.
