When Elise Armitage was 10, she made little animals out of beads and strings and sold them to her classmates. After teachers at her elementary school discovered this, she got in trouble—but not before she made $50.

What’s wrong with a little entrepreneurship?

We love her go-getter attitude. Our Communications Manager and Assistant to the CEO is always on top of things—from producing the latest marketing email to keeping Jen’s schedule full with client appointments.

She sets high standards for herself. The Sacramento native always has. After graduating high school, she received her undergraduate degree from UCLA and then a master’s in communication from the UC Davis. She has since held several internships in public relations, social media, marketing and taught public speaking classes at Davis.

Her exceptional drive isn’t limited to her professional life, either. In her spare time, she loves exploring the outdoors and San Francisco. She enjoys getting lost in bookstores and is learning Farsi so that she can speak with her boyfriend’s family.

We love her drive and strong work ethic—even if her elementary school didn’t.
